Prepared Public Speaking

Coach: Mrs. Rushing

Students are given the opportunity to develop a prepared speech on an agriculture topic. The students deliver the speech based on a written manuscript then answer related questions.

Overview

The prepared public speaking contest begins by the student developing a topic. The topic can be based on ANY agricultural related topic (livestock, water irrigation, etc.). After deciding a topic you must write a 6-8 minute speech, that is both informative and persuasive. You must be informed on your topic, for questions that will follow the completion of your speech. Also you must memorize your speech for the competition.
